Delaware Election Season 2024: The Race for Insurance Commissioner

By: Jane Brady, Chair, A Better Delaware

As we indicated in a previous newsletter, we are providing some information on where the candidates stand on the issues that our readers care most about -generally, energy, education, and the Delaware economy.  In this issue, we highlight the race for Insurance Commissioner. The issues we highlight in this issue, therefore, as relevant only to the issues within the authority and responsibilities of the Insurance Commissioner’s office.

We will not tell you how we think you should vote, but we will give you some highlights of the candidates’ positions. In order to present the information most fairly, we have not used third party sources, such as news reports, but have relied solely on the candidates’ websites for the information. The highlights we provide are in no way the entirety of the candidates’ positions, so we have also included links to the candidates’ websites so you can further explore those, and other, issues on your own.
